HaasCaywood PC is committed to continuing to provide full and comprehensive legal services to our clients while also complying with the health and safety directives being issued by federal, state, and local officials in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Due to Governor Whitmer’s “stay at home” Executive Order, our offices in both Sturgis and Coldwater will be closed from March 24, 2020, until April 13, 2020, or until otherwise directed by law.
We will continue full operations, however, with both our attorneys and staff working remotely from home. All of our attorneys will be available to assist clients via telephone and email. We have also checked with the local courts, and they will still be accepting filings with very limited staffing. So, we will be able to carry on business as usual with the exception that we cannot meet with clients in person. In the event of an emergency situation, such as end-of-life estate planning needs, we will address each of those situations on a case-by-case basis to meet the needs of those clients while still complying with the Governor’s Executive Order. Our clients will also still be able to pay on their account in the normal course of business either by phone or USPS.
We also wanted to provide an update on some local court closures.
We will contact clients with upcoming scheduled hearings affected by those closures and adjournments.
