HaasCaywood COVID-19 Notice & Local Court Closures

HaasCaywood COVID-19 Notice & Local Court Closures

HaasCaywood PC is committed to continuing to provide full and comprehensive legal services to our clients while also complying with the health and safety directives being issued by federal, state, and local officials in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Due to Governor Whitmer’s “stay at home” Executive Order, our offices in both Sturgis and Coldwater will be closed from March 24, 2020, until June 15, 2020, or until otherwise directed by law.

We will continue full operations, however, with both our attorneys and staff working remotely from home. All of our attorneys will be available to assist clients via telephone and email.  We have also checked with the local courts, and they will still be accepting filings with very limited staffing.  So, we will be able to carry on business as usual with the exception that we cannot meet with clients in person.  In the event of an emergency situation, such as end-of-life estate planning needs, we will address each of those situations on a case-by-case basis to meet the needs of those clients while still complying with the Governor’s Executive Order.  Our clients will also still be able to pay on their account in the normal course of business either by phone or USPS.

Court Closures

We also wanted to provide an update on some local court closures.

We will contact clients with upcoming scheduled hearings affected by those closures and adjournments.

This is a fluid situation where things are changing every day, so please check back periodically to our HaasCaywood PC Facebook page and our website for any further developments. We want to assure you that HaasCaywood PC will be there to handle any legal needs you have during this time of uncertainty. The health and safety or our clients and staff is our top priority, but we will do everything possible to ensure we are able to continue providing exemplary legal services to our clients.
